Thanks to a co-financing from the funds of the European Social Fund, Nowy Dwór Gdański will get 60 new places of child care for children in the 0-3 age group. The project is primarily directed at parents who interrupted their professional career due to childbirth or who are on parental leave. The co-financing made it possible to conduct necessary repair and construction work in 4 classrooms and in a room used for physical education. The classrooms are equipped with all the necessary appliances, as well as didactic materials and educational resources. An outdoors playground has also been constructed, equipped with slides, merry-go-rounds and swings. The project also included the purchase of equipment for the sensorial integration room, to be used for therapy with children who require special needs, which will be equipped with materials stimulating the senses and the visual, auditory and tactile perception. The classroom will provide the special needs children with equal development opportunities. 8 childcare assistants will participate in a series of training courses. As a result of this training the carers will acquire the necessary therapeutic skills to interact with special needs children, as well as to stimulate and support the developmental stages of the healthy children.
