Project Description

The project was addressed to children attending Centres of Pre-Primary School Education in the Sulęczyno Municipality and the 4 teachers who are employed there. The basic purpose of the project was to promote and improve quality of pre-school education in the Centres of Pre-Primary School Education in Mściszewice, the Pre-Primary Unit at the Schools Complex in Sulęczyno, the Municipal Self-government Pre-Primary School in Sulęczyno, the Pre-Primary Unit at the Primary School in Borek Kamienny, the Pre-Primary Unit at the Primary School in Podjazy and the Self-government Pre-Primary School at the Primary School in Węsiory. As part of the project the Pre-Primary schools were retrofitted with teaching apparatus, teaching aids, toys, educational games and any other equipment indispensable for conducting classes. Additionally, at the Pre-Primary Unit at the Primary School in Borek Kamienny and the Self-government Pre-Primary School at the Schools Complex in Mściszewice, 42 new pre-primary education places in total were created. Consequently, at these Centres of Pre-Primary School Education, classrooms have been adapted to facilitate pre-school child care activities for new groups.

Within the framework of the aforementioned enterprise, the children who previously lacked such an opportunity, thanks to their participation in the project, were able to benefit from a variety of assistance options, aiming to equalize educational opportunities by providing specialist activities eliminating the deficits, stimulating development and developing key competences. Among the activities that have been provided were the following: rhythmics, early development support, English, corrective gymnastics as well as activities in science, technology and construction. Participants took an active part in the performances of the visiting theatre groups, excursions to a variety of cultural and educational institutions, with the objective to expand the range of science and technology skills, mathematical and natural science skills, as well as their cultural awareness. Whereas the 4 teachers, thanks to their participation in the project, upgraded their professional qualifications and completed postgraduate studies.
