Project Description

The undertaking consisted in the expansion of the St. Adalbert Hospital in Gdańsk with a three-storey building with technical infrastructure, utility systems and necessary technical connections and land development. The functional passageways with the existing buildings of the Hospital is ensured by a three-storey connector and the superstructure of the existing connector on the first floor.

The scope of the project also included modernization of the transformer station, oxygen generating station and boiler room, checkrooms and technical rooms, water connection room equipped with a chlorine generator, central warehouse for medical and household waste (segregated), two hospital wards – Urology Ward, 29 beds and Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward, 39 beds, together with treatment rooms with medical equipment (including the purchase of X-ray machine with C-arm and laparoscopic vision track. Fully equipped operating theatre – 8 operating rooms, including a hybrid room and a 6-bed recovery room.

Medical and non-medical equipment of the operating theatre and recovery rooms, trauma and orthopaedic surgery ward, urology ward – including: patient monitors, beds, operating tables, anaesthesia machines, laparoscopic vision track, surgical lamps, ultrasound machines, C-frame X-ray machines, ventilators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, ceiling angiograph, diatherms, heaters, extracorporeal circulation machines, mobile operating tables, heating mattresses, ECMO extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machines).

The project included reconstruction and extension of the internal passageway system with roadways with manoeuvring yards, pedestrian routes and parking spaces. As part of the investment, a total of 75 parking spaces were created – all those parking spaces are used for serving patients and are free of charge.

The project also includes expenditure under the Flexibility Instrument for training and raising the qualifications of medical staff working in wards using the operating theatre for 55 people.

The project also covers activities carried out by the Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, financed from the funds of ROP PV 2014-2020, whose aim is to limit the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the territory of the Pomorskie Voivodeship. The activities include the purchase of 15 thousand diagnostic tests for SARS CoV-2 virus and personal protective and disinfecting equipment.
