Project Description
It is a project implemented by the Citizen Initiatives Centre in Słupsk, in partnership with the Słowińska Fisheries Group and the local action group ‘Partnerstwo Dorzecze Słupi’. The project aims to create jobs, foundations and facilities of public utility, where those who have been previously marginalized and socially excluded can find employment. The project assists those who are willing to invest in and create such facilities and introduce them into the changing job market. The recipients of the initiative are social economy entities, social work enterprises, initiative groups, regional local authorities, institutions of social economy environment as well as individuals threatened with employment exclusion. The enterprise is being implemented in the Bytów, Lębork and Słupsk districts as well as in the area of the city of Słupsk. An example of the success of the project is the „Przystań” Foundation. – It came into existence as an initiative fostering support for the dignity of disabled persons and for their place in society. Adult school graduates suffering with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, an intellectual disability or any other related disabilities, often have no employment opportunities that would promote their financial independence. They are often confined to their homes, left to their own devices. We want to change it – says Zofia Stodoła from the Foundation.
