Project Description
The subject of the project is to improve the quality of vocational education in Starogard County, to increase the level of professional qualifications of students of secondary vocational schools and to adapt equipment and infrastructure to the needs of vocational education for the economy. The project consisted in the formation of a network of vocational schools in the district of Starogard: the Economic Schools Complex, Vocational Schools Complex, Technical School in Owidz, Agricultural Schools Complex, Vocational Training Centre in Bolesławowo, including:
- through modernization and reconstruction of two centres of continuing and practical education (newly created Kociewskie Continuing Education Centre in Starogard Gdański and modernization of buildings of the Complex of Agricultural Schools – Vocational Training Centre in Bolesławowo – 3 facilities),
- equipping them with didactic aids for practical vocational training.
The project has contributed to the expansion of continuing education offers in the district through the implementation of a number of courses and trainings. Students were provided with access to the latest technologies and digital services.
The studios of the two modernized centres were equipped with the necessary equipment and devices for practical vocational training as well as for the schools to conduct vocational exams. The studios were equipped to teach professions such as: IT technician, ICT technician, mechatronics technician, electronics technician, horse-breeding technician, farmer technician. Agribusiness technician, landscape architecture technician, veterinary technician, rural tourism technician, agri-food processing technician, logistics technician, mechanic technician, carpenter technician, forwarding technician, woodworking technician. The following were purchased, among others: desktop and portable computers, school desks and chairs, lecture and assembly tables, simulation sets, projectors, routers, switches, projection screens, educational lathe, one-phase/ three-phase workstations for practical vocational training, test table, turbocharger test stand, locksmith’s tables, vices, drills, sanders, bending machine, milling machine, band saw, foil tunnel, front bulldozer, multifunctional tractor, branch chipper, forklift, one-axle trailer, agricultural tractor, revolving plough, harrow, fertilizer hopper, horse trailer, kennel carriage, training carriage, jumping and general purpose saddles, general purpose carriage, rowboat and many others.
The project also included continuing education in the form of Qualifying Vocational Courses, Professional Skills Courses and training courses at the Kociewskie Centre for Continuing Education in Starogard Gdański and the Agricultural School Complex at the Centre for Vocational Education in Bolesławowo (29 courses – carried out in several groups). Each of the forms of support ended with obtaining a certificate of completion of the course, a certificate or license and allowed to broaden the qualifications in the given profession. The courses carried out included: forklift operator course, MS Excel course, MS Word course, 2D design software course, 3D design software course, combine harvester operator course, B driver’s license course, transport and logistics specialist course, certificate of professional competence of a road transporter, transport organization and customer and contractor service course, assembly and installation of electronic systems and devices, animal transport course, hoof correction course, cattle insemination course, carriage driving course, chemization course in the use of crop protection agents with sprayers, design, arrangement and maintenance of plant landscape architecture objects, horse riding course, accountancy course, wage and public contribution settlement course and many others.
