Project Description
The official beneficiary of this project is the Copernicus company, however – according to the estimates – it is going to directly benefit 7056 female residents of the Pomorskie Voivodeship between the ages 25-59, who in the past three years didn’t undergo a cytology exam within a screening programme financed by the NFZ National Health Fund. The project’s objective is simple and important: an increase in the number of women participating in the programme of the prevention of cervical cancer, which is a significant factor in maintaining and extending of gainful employment. Unfortunately, there are still not enough participants in the programme, which allows early detection of the disease (thus significantly increasing the chances for successful treatment). The project included an educational campaign, part of which were individual consultations with residents and provided an opportunity to undergo a free of charge cytology exam. The Copernicus company campaign slogan is: „Reality can drop a bombshell. Don’t get ambushed by reality – do a cytology exam”.
