Preschoolers from the Chmielno commune

Project Description

The main goal of the project was to improve the educational opportunities of children from the Chmielno commune. Thanks to the project 70 permanent places of pre-school education were created and the offer of three Pre-school Support Centers was extended to include additional activities to level the chances of children, including children with disabilities. The recipients of the project were 239 pre-school children and 18 teachers. The project involved speech therapy, therapeutic classes – art therapy, graphomotor, resocialization, classes of improving motor coordination, corrective and compensatory classes, rhythm, English with the use of digital tools and technologies, classes developing mathematics and natural sciences, classes developing the ability to learn and memorization, classes in social and emotional competences. The project involved the training of kindergarten teachers, who improved their professional skills and competences, implemented functions supporting the teaching process through an educational platform together with educational materials hosting. This contributed to changes in the functioning of the kindergarten. The teachers gain their skills and competences in their everyday work, share their knowledge and experience. Thanks to this, the effects of the project implementation have a long-term effect. In addition, didactic aids for children supporting their personal development were purchased. Pre-school units were equipped with new furniture, teaching aids, toys as well as multimedia and interactive equipment (ICT). Musical instruments, specialist didactic aids were purchased to the speech therapy room and the play room. The area around kindergartens has been enriched with new playgrounds. During the project, children took part in educational trips, including to the Hevelianum Center, Experyment Science Center, zoo, forest nurseries and museums and took part in the „Science Festivals”. Preschoolers also participated in 18 theatrical performances.
