Project Description

Pomeranian Export Broker is a first system in Poland which in a comprehensive way assists with export growth of companies in the Pomorskie voivodeship. The project is aimed at companies which are interested in growth of their exports to the foreign markets, and also those without export experience.
The project is aimed at:

  • micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME),
  • with HEADQUARTERS in the Pomorskie Voivodeship,
  • which are oriented at commencing export activities, export growth and reaching new markets.

The most important objectives of the Project:

  • MORE Pomorze SME’s active in the foreign markets,
  • STRENGTHENING of the Pomorze (Polish) company brand,
  • SEARCHING for attractive export markets for the Pomorze companies,
  • INCREASING the share of Pomorze companies in the national export.

The programme is aimed at companies without prior export experience or those which are new to exporting

The programme is aimed at companies, interested in growth of their existing exports

Grants for participation
in trade fairs abroad, exhibitions, trade missions and other economy-related events.
  • Export Broker support to determine the company’s export potential,
  • seminars and conferences
  • export-related information
  • meetings with experienced exporters,
  • possibility of participation in trips organised by Project Partners, to selected international trade fairs
  • possibility of participation in trade missions
    and other export-related economic events, organised by Project Partners
  • export-related information, market research and analysis
  • possibility of applying for financial assistance for company participation in trade fairs, trade missions and other economic events, promoting products and services of companies with export potential
  • possibility of applying by Business Environment Institutions (BEI) for co-financing to organise a joint trip to a trade fair with SME’s.

The direct assistance for entrepreneurs is accompanied by export strengthening initiatives as well as initiatives that promote a region’s economic potential on selected markets.

Benefits for entrepreneurs:

  • Possibility of ASSESSMENT of one’s own EXPORT POTENTIAL,
  • Acquisition of KNOWLEDGE indispensable for export activity (incl. knowledge of selected markets, legal matters, customs, tax, marketing issues),
  • Updated INFORMATION on export and selected markets,
  • CO-FINANCING of participation in organised trips to selected TRADE FAIRS
  • Possibility of participation in TRADE MISSIONS,
  • PARTICIPATION IN ECONOMY-RELATED EVENTSoriented towards providing assistance to export and presence on foreign markets,
  • MEETINGS with experienced exporters,
  • Possibility of obtaining A SUBSIDY for the company’s participation in trade fairs, trade missions and other economic events,
  • Possibility to ESTABLISH COLLABORATION with foreign clients and other companies in the region,
  • Possibility of collaboration in economic PROMOTION of the REGION.

Expected outcomes of the project implementation:

  • 1800 enterprises have received assistance:
  • 15 trade missions,
  • 48 economy-related events,
  • 36 trade fair events,
  • 3 export-related conferences,
  • 70 Seminars from the series entitled „Export prologue” and „Export epilogue”,
  • 12 Seminars from the series „Export professionals” and „USA&China Gate”,
  • 18 Business Club meetings,
  • 2160 assessments of companies export potential,
  • 4 grant competitions for SME’s,
  • economic promotion of the region.

Project implementation commenced in July 2016, and its stipulated completion is June 2023. The enterprise has a total value of PLN 84.08 million. More than PLN 64 million is the amount of the subsidy from the EU funds, as part of the Regional Operational Programme of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for the years 2014-2020.

The project is a strategic enterprise by the Self-government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship. The project came into existence on the initiative of the Pomorze Business Environment Institutions. It is a partner project, implemented by the Pomerania Development Agency- the project leader, The Pomeranian Regional Chamber of Commerce, Free Entrepreneurship Association/Gdańsk branch, Business Incubator STARTER, INVESTGDA and the Pomorze Science and Technology Park. Each of these institutions is responsible for implementing specific initiatives stipulated in the project.
