Project Description
The objective of the project is an upgrade of an existing heat network and construction of a new heat distribution network along with an upgrade of the heat source. The planned heat network will be feeding heat into the existing consumer heat nodes (undergoing an upgrade) as well as those still to be constructed in existing buildings, where individual boiler rooms will be decommissioned. The heat energy will be generated by a heating plant situated at the biogas plant in Darżyno. The investment includes the decommissioning of the coal fired boilerhouse, an expansion of the heating system along with an installation of three heat exchanger (plate) assemblies as well as an additional furnace utilizing gas at the heating plant in Darżyno.
The enterprise is implemented in partnership in the area of Potęgowo and Darżyno. The primary objective of the project is increased operational efficiency of the municipal energy infrastructure. By means of cogenerated heat energy use obtained from RES and a replacement of the source of heat in the coal-fired furnaces and boilers, the emissions of pollutants into the environment will be reduced.
The combined length of the heating network that is being currently installed is 4.4m. 20 heating nodes will be constructed and the heat source at the biogas plant will receive an upgrade. The end result of the project will be a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions amounting to 2.5 thousand tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
