Project Description
The main goal of the „Mum at work” project is to make it easier for mothers to return to work after a break connected with giving birth to a child. Thanks to the co-financing of places at the Daily Guardian we are able to offer childcare for a much lower amount of tuition than in similar institutions operating commercially. The financial aspect is often one of the most important factors influencing the potential return of a mother to work. Providing cheap childcare allows us to maintain financial stability at the time of such an important change.
Thanks to the support we offer within the framework of the project, mothers are less likely to take parental leave, which in the long run prevents the problem of unemployment and inactivity from worsening. In the case of unemployed women, the project increases the chances of returning to the labour market, which could be difficult or impossible due to the impossibility to ensure childcare. Such problems usually result from insufficient number of places in childcare institutions or the need to provide private care in the form of a babysitter. Thanks to the support provided by the project, the participants can fulfil themselves both at the professional level and in the sphere of family life.
