Project Description
The main objective of the project was to improve the quality of general education in the Chmielno Municipality in terms of key competences necessary in the labour market for 800 students and 75 teachers. The project included additional classes improving mathematical and natural competences, language (English, German, Russian) and social competences focused on creative work.
The schools were equipped with the necessary didactic aids such as specialized multimedia software, puzzle games, nature sets. During the classes modern information technologies such as tablets, computers and interactive boards were used. The schools also purchased microscopes and school furniture.
Pupils took part in „Meetings with Science” – spectacular special shows and research stations, where scientific conferences, chemical and physical phenomena or ecological and physical workshops were held.
Moreover, extracurricular forms of developing key competences through educational trips and language camps were implemented.
Support for professional development was also provided to teachers in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technology), activating teaching of mathematical and natural sciences subjects, techniques of motivating students and working with students with special needs.
An online e-Gradebook System was implemented in all schools in the municipality. Thanks to this, teachers and parents have constant, interactive contact through available functionalities, e.g. for grades and attendance, lesson topics, or mail.
