Project Description

The investment project carried out in 2018 consisted in the replacement of street lighting in the Człuchów area. 2525 energy-intensive and inefficient sodium luminaires were replaced with LED technology ones, ensuring low power consumption and emitting light closer to natural. The implementation of the project will also contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions in the area of the above mentioned Municipalities, and thus to the improvement of air quality and environmental protection.

PROJECT IN NUMBERS

Człuchów Urban Municipality:

  •  1,638 luminaires upgraded,
  • estimated savings in electricity consumption – 53.6 %,
  •  estimated reduction of CO2 emissions – 318.56 Mg.

Człuchów Municipality:

  •  887 luminaires upgraded,
  • planned savings in electricity consumption – 46.4 %,
  •  estimated reduction of CO2 emissions – 137.42 Mg.

The upgrade enabled:

–    reduction of the consumption of fuels for the production of electricity, the side effect of which is the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere,

–    improving air quality and protecting the environment,

–   reduction in operating costs

–    increase in user comfort,

–   improvement in the quality of use of power infrastructure,

–    reduction of the installed power of luminaires while maintaining their properties,

–   autonomous reduction of power during night hours,

–  no need to replace worn out lamps in short periods of time (every 3-5 years), as is currently the case,

–    increase in safety

–   better visual and functional effect

–    unification of the lighting system in partner municipalities

–   improvement in living conditions

–    increasing environmental awareness of residents and road users
