Project Description
Nature reserves protect the most valuable sections of the voivodeship’s natural space. They include areas preserved in their natural or little changed state, distinguished by specific natural, scientific, cultural or landscape values. Their preservation in a proper condition is conditioned by the implementation of protection measures resulting from the protection plans established for them, protection task plans or protection tasks. The project includes reserves covered by the respective tasks and for which there is an urgent need for their implementation.
The aim of the project is to protect the population of 3 plant species and 3 types of ecosystems, important from the point of view of the natural values of the voivodeship. It includes 18 nature reserves where these species and ecosystems are protected. The project will implement activities in the field of active protection, as well as limiting anthropopressure and targeting tourist traffic and monitoring.
It also includes elements of education and social dialogue. In each reserve there will be carried out protective activities planned in its protection plan or in approved protection tasks, ensuring the preservation of the species and ecosystems covered by the project and allowing sustainable use of the reserves for tourism and education purposes. These tasks are described in the feasibility study. Moreover, educational workshops for local community will be conducted in 13 communes where reserves are located in which active protection measures will be implemented,.
The project consists of 4 sub-programmes:
