Project Description
At present, the electrical power system is subject to strong transformations arising from connection of distributed energy sources, application of smart network elements and integration with the energy market and market of system services. In view of all this, it is necessary to apply the most modern research technologies for effective conduct of research and development activities at the Power Engineering Institute.
The Real-Time Digital Simulator, constituting the subject of the co-financing, described in this application, is a solution that responds to demand of scientific as well as research and technical staff members of the Power Engineering Institute with regard to advanced research infrastructure.
The Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) is a unique tool which, thanks to advanced solutions in equipment and programme areas, allows examining electromagnetic and electromechanical phenomena taking place in the electrical power system through their simulation in real time.
